Urinary Tract Infection (UTIs) is a disease that involves infection of any of the accompanying organs of the urinary tract; kidney, ureter, bladder or urethra. These are essentially the structures where urine is formed and passes through before it gets voided out of the body.
UTIs are brought on by invasion of microorganisms into the urinary tract and it is 10 times more common in females than males.
If antibiotics do not help, the infection can turn into a very serious problem and can cause kidney damage.
Natural remedies are safe to be used and are also effective against this medical condition, which is why many are opting for alternative treatment.
PARSLEY for Urinary Tract Infection
Parsley tea is a powerful antibiotic and anti-viral remedy against the annoying bacteria.
Parsley acts as a diuretic, so it will flush out the bacteria to relieve discomfort. It works by inhibiting the sodium and potassium pump, so sodium levels will rise. This will result in an overall increase in urine output to remove bacteria.
RECIPE FOR PARSLEY TEA
You will need:
- 4 cups water
- 4 tsp minced parsley(fresh)
Preparation:
- Chop finely the parsley(including stems and roots if available)
- Boil at least four cups of filtered water
- Remove water from the heat
- Soak minced parsley for 20 minutes then strain.
You should drink 4 cups of this tea for at least 7 days (it can be taken hot or cold) to cure urinary tract infection. The UTI symptoms will significantly decrease in just 3 days, but one must continue drinking to complete the 7 days.
